Space Replicator Free is a virtual monitoring plugin that also includes headphone calibration, and it was built specifically for mixing on headphones. Virtual monitoring lets you check your mix through headphones as if you were listening in a professional studio, which helps you make better decisions faster. You can hear how your track sounds in a high-end mixing studio, on a smartphone or laptop in a living room, and through consumer in-ear headphones.
Note that the free version gives you three listening environments in total: one mixing/mastering studio, one space for checking mix translation, and one headphone emulation. You cannot pick and switch between several environments of the same type. Increasing the number of environments requires upgrading to a paid version.
Also note that the “800+ profiles” figure does not refer to the number of listening environments. It refers to the list of supported headphone models used to compensate for the frequency response of the headphones you actually own. That feature is available in the free version without restrictions and covers the same 800+ models as the paid versions.
