orph’s exciter and loudness plugin PLUSH is available for free right now. This article covers how to download it and what it does. Be sure to check it out.
What Is orph PLUSH?
PLUSH is a finishing plugin that combines an exciter (the Brilliance section), which adds air and sizzle, with an Inflate section that adds loudness, all in a single window. The output stage is controlled by a true peak limiter, so at the end of your mix or mastering chain you can enhance the “shine on top” and the “weight at the bottom” at the same time.
Key Features
- Brilliance (exciter): 3 modes – Air (12 kHz shelf), Sizzle (an exciter that adds harmonics above 6 kHz), and Both (6 kHz + 10 kHz for even more presence)
- Inflate (loudness): full-band Low / Med / Fat modes that add harmonic density and perceived loudness
- 8x oversampling and a true peak limiter (-1 dBTP)
- 12-dot peak meters on both input and output
- Input / Output gain: -60 to +12 dB
- Match: matches the output level to the input level
- Delta: monitor only the components PLUSH has added
- Mono: sums L+R to check mono compatibility
- Automation support for all parameters
