Hivetune is giving away the free version of ENS-86, a vintage BBD chorus effect plugin. This article covers the download details and an overview of ENS-86.
What Is Hivetune ENS-86?
ENS-86 is a vintage chorus plugin modeled on the chorus found in classic 80s polyphonic synthesizers, recreating the warm modulation of an analog BBD circuit. Rather than being limited to fixed hardware push buttons, you can freely adjust the modulation speed and depth. A free version with classic factory presets is available, and the Complete Edition ($4.99) adds 20+ presets and a bonus GUI skin.
Key Features
- Emulates the warmth of analog BBD modulation
- Fine control over modulation speed and depth
- LFO Phase adjustment changes the relationship between left and right channels for a unique stereo image
- Built-in Mid/Side stereo width engine expands from mono up to 200%, adjustable independently of the chorus
- Independent Dry and Wet gain, covering everything from vibrato to parallel chorus
