2. What Is BEATSURFING VRAC+?

“One sound – One drum kit” — From a Single Sound to a Full Drum Kit

BEATSURFING VRAC+ is a sample-based drum machine that can turn any sound into a drum kit simply by loading it. It is the upgraded version of the free VRAC, covering everything from automatic sample slicing to serious per-pad sound design and 8-stereo-pair multi-out — all within a single plugin. Once a sample is loaded, the Auto Slicer automatically detects percussive moments, and by morphing between kick, snare, hi-hat, and clap models, you can quickly create original drum kits that keep the character of your source material.

Key Features

• Auto Slicer: an automatic slicer with a Sensitivity control detects percussive transients. It also supports moving between slices with the arrow keys and random slice selection.
• Load samples up to 60 minutes long (the free version is limited to 60 seconds).
• Record audio from your DAW (up to 2 minutes). Use your own recordings, sounds from your DAW, or the included library as sources.
• 16-pad layout (the free version has 8 pads). Velocity can be mapped to Volume, Length, and Tone Shift.
• Supports choke groups and one-click duplication of pad settings.
• 8-stereo-pair multi-out (the free version has 1 stereo pair) for serious mixing in your DAW.
• Drag & drop export: drag out individual pads or the entire kit.
• Global controls: shape the whole kit with Global Tone Shift and a DJ-style low-pass / high-pass filter.
