2. How to Install and Activate Sonnox Products
Installing and authorizing Sonnox products requires an iLok account. If you do not have an iLok account yet, create one first.
Sonnox can be activated without an iLok USB dongle, so you do not need the USB key.
After creating your account, register your product on the Sonnox website by entering your email address and username. A download email is then sent to the address you entered, and you download the product from that email.
Finally, enter your iLok ID and password when launching the plugin to complete activation. If the prompt does not appear at launch, you can also activate directly from the iLok License Manager.
Claro
Claro is a comprehensive EQ plugin that supports the entire production process, from composing through to the final mix. With three different views, it lets you progressively add deeper insight and precision, helping you avoid mud, clutter and harshness while blending your tracks into a clear, balanced mix.
The PRODUCE view offers a fast, creative EQ that actively encourages musical creativity while stripping away anything unnecessary or overly technical.

It offers a Simple mode for quick fixes and an Advanced mode for greater functionality.
Oxford Drum Gate
Drum Gate is a plugin for accurate, transparent drum gating.
Accurate transient detection and intelligent drum-type matching make it easy to separate the hits you want to keep from those you don’t. A decay curve that adapts to the velocity of each drum hit ensures consistent reduction even with dynamic performances.
Fraunhofer Pro-Codec
Fraunhofer Pro-Codec is a plugin that lets you audition and compare up to five audio codecs in real time.
It lets you quickly focus on key issues such as a codec’s effect on frequency, audible artifacts, and codec-induced overload. You can optimize a mix for a specific format such as AAC or mp3 before encoding, and a manager application is also provided for batch processing in the background.
Restore
Restore is a bundle of three corrective/repair plugins. It includes the following three:
Oxford DeBuzzer effectively removes buzz, hum, whine and whistle.
It lets you isolate the fundamental frequency using the display, which always shows feedback on the top candidates. Even if the fundamental drifts, the default auto-tracking mode follows it in real time.
Oxford DeClicker removes pops and clicks accurately and transparently.
Oxford DeClicker has three independent sections for removing pops and clicks. Each has threshold and sensitivity controls that define how many events are detected and removed. Its unique event graph displays the level and duration of detected pops and clicks in three separate color-coded groups.
Oxford DeNoiser is a real-time noise-reduction plugin.
It works by continuously analyzing the input signal to build a noise profile. You can also use Freeze mode to sample a section of audio that contains only the target noise. Set the threshold for removing noise and adjust it to taste with the reduction slider.
Vox Doubler
VoxDoubler is offered as two independent plugins focused on vocal-doubling workflows.
Widen generates two new mono voices and pans them to the left and right of the original vocal. Thicken generates a new stereo doubling voice and layers it over the original vocal.
Envolution
Envolution is a frequency-dependent envelope shaper, split into transient and sustain sections, that can dramatically transform the sound envelope of instruments and audio.
To select the frequencies being processed, use either Tilt mode for covering a wider range or the more parametric Focus mode.
You can add presence and a sense of distance to percussive content such as drums, piano and guitar, boost the sustain to swell the ambience, or cut it to apply gating.
