In celebration of Overloud’s 20th anniversary, five convolution reverb library products for REmatrix are available for free until March 31, 2026. REmatrix offers a unique convolution engine that allows the use of multiple reverbs in parallel across different buses, enabling users to blend various impulse responses (IRs) to create rich, natural spaces. The following five products are all compatible with the free REmatrix Player.
Studio Sessions Free
Studio Sessions Free features an IR library created by capturing top-tier reverb units used in various studios. Each unit has been recorded both in its pure state and through different consoles to showcase their unique tonal characteristics. This package includes 10 IRs and 15 presets sourced from renowned units like Lexicon PCM 81, PCM 90, 224, 480, and more, along with Yamaha SPX990 and Eventide H3000. The library has been developed by Sabino Cannone (MoReVoX).
Immersive Studio Free
Immersive Studio Free is an IR library designed by Sabino Cannone (MoReVoX) that adds immersive depth to sound. Ideal for music production, film scoring, and sound design, this library includes 10 IRs and 15 presets. It selects content from the full Immersive Studio package, allowing immersive sound experiences even on standard stereo speakers, a feature made possible by MoReVoX’s proprietary IR design workflow.
Rafa Sardina Spaces FREE
Rafa Sardina Spaces FREE is a REmatrix library sampled from Rafa’s reverb chain at AfterHours Studio in Los Angeles. This collection replicates the reverb used in albums from a Grammy-awarded engineer with 19 wins, capturing all components of his chain, including legendary outboard gear and consoles. It features 10 IRs and 10 presets drawn from the full Rafa Sardina Spaces collection.
Dusty Racks FREE
Dusty Racks FREE is an IR library that captures 15 legendary reverb processors from the ’80s and ’90s, including some lesser-known units that continue to provide unique sounds. This library offers 15 IRs and 15 presets sourced from various units like Yamaha REV7, Alesis Quadraverb 2, and more. It has been developed by Sabino Cannone (MoReVoX).
Blackstar Studio
Blackstar Studio is an IR library sampled from Blackstar Recording Studio located in Milan. The entire studio, including the main recording room, has been meticulously sampled using multiple mic setups, totaling 40 IRs. The collection captures all spaces in the studio, featuring 50 presets from single and multi-layer banks. Developed by Sabino Cannone (MoReVoX).
Installation and Activation Guide for Each Library
If you do not already own the REmatrix Full version, follow these six steps to use the libraries for free:
- If REmatrix Full or REmatrix Player is already installed, jump to step 5.
- If you don’t have an Overloud account, create one here for free.
- Download and install the REmatrix Player for Windows or Mac from this page.
- Open the plugin in your DAW and log in with your Overloud account.
- Download the desired libraries from their respective product pages.
- Drag and drop the downloaded libraries into REmatrix to install them.
