What Is GForce Software OB-X?
GForce’s Oberheim OB-X is the world’s first official emulation of the famous 80s synthesizer. Its sound is still a great fit today for electronica, EDM, drum and bass, ambient, rock, prog, hip-hop and more. The original synthesizer was used by many artists and groups, including Japan, Ultravox, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Depeche Mode, Queen, Larry Dunn, Youth, Chris Franke and Styx. GForce’s OB-X keeps the sound everyone loves while adding new sonic possibilities.
While faithfully recreating the authentic sound, it also packs powerful features for modern setups: up to 16 voices of polyphony, a Vintage control that adds subtle analog imperfections, four programmable macros, new LFO features (intro, retrigger, phase and smoothing), new LFO level destinations, independent PWM 1 and 2, discrete level, discrete tracking, an arpeggiator, a chord mode with scaler, and chorus, stereo delay and reverb effects. Added X-Modifiers, a dedicated LFO and an ADSR take the OB-X to the next level of sound design.
