Meldway Grand is a grand piano instrument developed by MeldaProduction, capturing the Steinway Model D. Running it requires MSoundFactory, MSoundFactory LE, or the free MSoundFactory Player.
If you own MSoundFactory or MSoundFactory LE, you can use it at no additional cost, and it can also be purchased standalone. During sales the price can drop dramatically, and with its roughly 40GB large-capacity library it offers excellent cost performance for a serious piano instrument.
It features versatile mic positions using 7 stereo microphones, letting you flexibly adjust everything from a tight sound close to the player to a wide, spacious resonance. It suits a broad range of genres including classical, ambient, soundtrack and pop, and can even reproduce sympathetic resonance without using the sustain pedal.
Furthermore, the Creative tab – featuring resonators, filters, FM and more – enables sound design that goes beyond a conventional piano. The FX section includes 25 algorithmic reverbs made specifically for this piano, along with delay, sonic enhancer, compressor, distortion, rotary and more.
