Meldway Grand is a grand piano instrument developed by MeldaProduction, featuring the Steinway Model D. Running it requires MSoundFactory, MSoundFactory LE, or the free MSoundFactory Player.
If you already own MSoundFactory or MSoundFactory LE, you can use it at no extra cost, and it can also be purchased on its own. During sales the price can drop dramatically, making it an exceptional value for a serious piano instrument with an approximately 40GB library.
It offers a variety of mic positions using 7 stereo mics, letting you flexibly dial in everything from a tight sound close to the player to a wide, spatial resonance. It suits a broad range of genres — classical, ambient, soundtrack, pop — and can reproduce sympathetic resonance even without using the sustain pedal.
Furthermore, the Creative tab with resonators, filters, FM and more enables sound design that goes beyond a traditional piano. The FX section includes 25 algorithmic reverbs built specifically for this piano, along with delay, a sonic enhancer, compressor, distortion, rotary and more.
