ProjectSAM’s orchestral percussion library “Lineage Percussion Free” is now available for free!
In this article, we introduce the distribution details and an overview of Lineage Percussion Free.
Be sure to use it as a reference.
1. What is ProjectSAM “Lineage Percussion Free”?
Lineage Percussion Free is a free edition that lets you try “Lineage Percussion” — the first title in ProjectSAM’s next-generation Lineage Series orchestral percussion line — with a curated selection of instruments and articulations. The full version was recorded 100% from scratch at the concert hall of the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep (MCO) in Hilversum, the Netherlands, the same venue used for the Symphobia series, and features intelligent musical functions and a high-resolution interface.
Main Features
- Free edition (Percussion Free) contents: 10 instruments, 13 articulations, 3+1 microphones, 4.7 GB library size
- Supports Virtual Stage and Kit Builder
- Adaptive Sync lets you quickly match sampled crescendos, rolls, and risers to your project’s tempo
- Runs in the free Kontakt Player, so it can be used even without the full version of Kontakt
- Higher tiers are also available: Percussion Core (45 instruments, 190 articulations, 16.6 GB / EUR 164) and Percussion Pro (70 instruments, 300 articulations, 101 GB / EUR 330)
2. How to Install and Activate Lineage Percussion Free
When you check out for free via “Get Now” on the official page, a serial number is sent to you, and you can then install the library with Native Instruments “Native Access.” The installation steps in Native Access are as follows.
- Register an account at Native Instruments
- Download and install Native Access 2, then launch it and log in
- Click “Add Serial” at the bottom left and enter your serial code
- Install the product
This is a library that runs in Native Instruments “Kontakt,” and it also works with the free Kontakt Player. If you don’t have Kontakt, install Kontakt Player as well.
