Gazillion Industries’ glitch plugin BENDO, which lets you break sound like circuit-bending a cheap electronic toy, is available for free for a limited time.
In this article, we cover BENDO’s free distribution details and an overview of the plugin.
What Is Gazillion Industries BENDO?
BENDO lets you bend and break any sound you run through it, much like circuit-bending an inexpensive electronic toy. Every knob controls the clock, battery, memory, and chip of a single “toy,” so the effects influence one another.
Key Features
- CLOCK: changes the toy’s speed (LOCK switches whether pitch and time are linked)
- BATTERY: drains the battery so the sound sags and then restarts
- ADDRESS / DATA: reads memory out of order and corrupts the bits of the sample
- LOOP / FEEDBACK / LOGIC: stutter, feeding the output back into the input, and gate and square-wave buzz
- ECHO: echo and reverb that follow the clock
- RHYTHM: slices the previous bar into 16 pieces and replays them in a new pattern synced to the host tempo
- SPEECH: converts the input sound into a talking-toy-like voice
- MOD ALL: corrupts the toy’s settings so the knobs you touch jump to different values
- Keys: RESET, WIPE, TOUCH, GLITCH, CRASH, LINK, RAW, REC, LOCK, BURN, KEYS, and BYPASS
- 83 programs included, and you can save your own programs
- Supported formats: AU / VST3 / Standalone on macOS, VST3 (64-bit) on Windows
- Supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs
