What Is GForce Software Prophet 5?
The first official Prophet-5 plugin ever. Sequential x GForce Software “Prophet 5”
Designed by Dave Smith at Sequential Circuits in 1978, the Prophet-5 is a 5-voice analog synthesizer that combined polyphony, patch memory and intuitive operation, and changed the way musicians write, record and perform. Its official emulation is finally available as software.
As the first official Prophet-5 plugin, Prophet 5 is a collaboration between Sequential and GForce Software. It faithfully recreates the sound, feel and character of the original instrument while adding many powerful extensions for modern production environments.
- Three revisions recreated: Switch between the SSM of Rev1 & Rev2 and the Curtis filter/envelope characteristics of Rev3, covering everything from the warmth of the SSM to the clarity of the Curtis.
- Dual-layer architecture: With Layer, Split and Alternate modes and up to 10 voices per layer, you can stack, split or alternate sounds in a single instance.
- X-Modifiers: Assign a dedicated envelope and LFO to almost any parameter, so you can move the sound freely while keeping the original texture.
