2. What is Heavyocity?

Dave Fraser and Neil Goldberg, both successful composers, founded the precursor to Heavyocity, a creator team called Heavy Melody Music, in 2003.

In 2006, the idea of creating cutting-edge virtual instruments capable of delivering world-class sounds became a new focus for the Heavy Melody team. They quickly established Heavyocity Media, Inc. and embarked on developing their first virtual instrument, EVOLVE.

This marked the beginning of Heavyocity. While Heavyocity has developed numerous sound sources, one of their highly popular products is the plugin effect PUNISH.

Damage Drum Kit is a brand new, massive drum kit created specifically for modern music and epic scoring aggression.

By deeply sampling the Marimba and Vibraphone sources, it offers a wide range of expressive possibilities, from dark and bow-played atmospheres to traditional percussive movements, delivering a cinematic and impactful experience. It transforms tuned percussion into the realm of hybrid scoring.

Mosaic Leads

Mosaic Leads is one of the creations from the Mosaic series, designed to maintain the creativity of composers. Building upon the Mosaic series, Mosaic Leads features a collection of complex cinematic sounds centered around the size and scale of big analog synth leads.

Each instrument comes with unique foundational elements, designed to be combined and layered to create rich and cinematic textures.

With a collection ranging from analog synth leads to cinematic synths, organic attacks, unique sound design elements, and over 200 meticulously crafted snapshot presets, it provides a thrilling combination of these analog sources layered across the three channels of the dynamic Mosaic Engine, showcasing its true power.

Symphonic Destruction

This is a damaged orchestral sound source that has been deconstructed and rebuilt from scratch to push the boundaries of power, creativity, and aggression in modern scoring. It is the sound that emerges when the grand approach of Damage 2 is applied to an orchestra.

It offers a completely new approach to orchestral scoring, combining elements of traditional, hybrid, synthesizer, and heavy guitar sounds, setting it apart from traditional orchestral libraries.

PUNISH

PUNISH, modeled after Heavyocity’s custom analog signal chain, allows you to control compression, saturation, transient shaping, EQ, and limiting.

You can chain the modules together to achieve the distinctive sound of PUNISH, or use each module independently. At the center of it all is the global PUNISH knob, where setting the range allows you to achieve a destructive sound.

Gravity, developed by a team of award-winning professional composers and sound designers at Heavyocity, encompasses intangible scoring elements such as intricate pads, thrilling risers, otherworldly stings, and earth-shattering hits.
