1. Splice INSTRUMENT August-Only Expansion Presets
Splice INSTRUMENT is a free sample-based instrument plugin that brings high-quality multi-sampled sounds into any DAW. It covers everything from rare pianos to legendary vintage synths, and hundreds of free presets are available out of the box. The sounds from Spitfire Audio’s LABS and LABS+ have also been integrated into the plugin, with a new interface, enhanced browsing and access to individual presets.
The plugin features a system called Free Drops, in which premium presets that are normally reserved for subscribers are unlocked for free every month. If you claim them during the drop period, those presets are yours to keep permanently.
For the August 2026 Free Drops, the following three expansion presets are available at no cost.
- Sleepless Pluck
- Ghoul 808
- Raven Lament

2. How to Download and Install
Download and install the free Splice INSTRUMENT, then launch it either as a standalone app or as a plugin inside your DAW. Once it is running, open the water-drop Free Drops icon, select the presets and download them. Anything you claim during the drop period remains usable forever. This giveaway runs for August only.
