1. What does sub-bass mean?

Sub-bass refers to a bass that sounds with a heavy bass (frequency less than 60Hz).

2. How to make sub-bass (DAW : Ableton Live)

There are two ways to create a sub-bass.

Make from synthesizer

Good analog synthesizer model
One oscillator is enough
Use sine waves
Center around less than 60Hz
Make monophonic

Make from kick of TR-808

If you want to make from kicks, get a low and long TR-808 kick.

Put it in Sampler and adjust it with the tuner to the same key you pressed on the MIDI keyboard.

Don’t forget to set Voice to 1 and make it monophonic.
