Ending soon!
Venus Theory is currently giving away auras:eria, a choir-style instrument built from vocal synthesis, completely free of charge.
In this article, we cover the giveaway details and an overview of auras:eria. We hope you find it useful.
1. What Is Venus Theory “auras:eria”?
auras:eria is the latest entry in the AURAS series. It was created with the goal of producing an expressive “robot choir,” using the vocal synthesis (speech synthesis) engine of an obscure keyboard as its source material. The keyboard’s words were recorded over and over, with randomness added to the phrase start points and the playback speed of the fragments, and the results were then layered with generated vocal waveforms. The outcome is a hybrid sound that combines human-like qualities with mechanical precision.
Key Features
- AURAS dual-layer engine that lets you blend two tonal characters
- Combines vocal-synth phrase fragments with smooth synth waveforms, covering everything from stuttering syllables to expansive choir-style pads
- Includes custom IRs (impulse responses) that can be used both as tone shapers and as spaces
- 31 presets
- Intuitive control over dynamics, filter, and expression
