DUY’s vinyl record sound simulator plugin, DaD Vinyl, is being given away for free for a limited time!
In this article, we cover the giveaway details and an overview of DaD Vinyl.
1. What is DUY “DaD Vinyl”?
DaD Vinyl is a plugin that uses physical modeling to recreate the sound of old records, from 33 and 45 RPM vinyl to 78 RPM shellac discs. Rather than layering noise samples, it models the effect the record and the playback system have on the sound. Normally priced at $56.35, it is being given away free for two weeks only at Audio Plugin Deals.
Key Features
- Simulates the sound of 33, 45 and 78 RPM records (vinyl, shellac and more)
- Individual control over overall quality, rumble, surface damage, tone, stereo image, pops and scratches
- Also recreates turntable dust, hiss and mechanical noise
- Unique control that lets you choose the “era” the recording was made in
- No iLok required
- Plugin size ranges from 14MB to 24MB depending on format
- Formats: AU, VST, VST3, AAX Native (macOS 12 or later, native on Apple Silicon / Intel)
