1. What Is dBdone Wasser?
Wasser is a “liquid multiband delay” plugin that lets you draw the delay time for each individual frequency band.
Each vertical bar on the grid corresponds to one frequency band, and raising a bar by one step adds one grid unit of delay time to that band. Set the grid to 1/16 and raise a bar to a height of three steps, and that band comes back three sixteenth notes late. Bands with their bar left at the bottom pass through dry, so you can keep the kick right where it is while scattering everything else. Draw the bars as an upward ramp and a single hit returns like a string of water droplets.
Wetness crossfades between the dry signal and the delayed bands, while Enhance boosts the wet signal. At the end of the chain sits a full-band delay with feedback and ping-pong. It is a delay best suited to drums, breaks and percussion.
