What Is Darkpalace Studio “PARROT”?
PARROT is a multiband, multi-mode delay plugin with three modes running in parallel. While a typical delay only produces a single echo, each of PARROT’s three modes has its own independent character, letting you apply delays and textures to specific frequency bands with pinpoint precision. Turn the delay off, and PARROT also works as a parallel multiband texturizer.

- Three modes run in parallel — process 16th-note taps on the low end, a 200 ms pitch-shifted shimmer delay, feedback drones, and more, all in a single instance
- Distinctive effects for each band: Tube (warm analog-style crunch), Saturation (aggressive grit), Pitch Shift (independent pitch and formant control), Frequency Shift, Bitcrusher (from light lo-fi to full digital destruction), Disperser (up to 48 all-pass stages to smear transients), Flanger, Chorus, Flutter, and BBD
- Variable band-pass filter slopes: from narrow 24 dB/oct peaks to wide 6 dB/oct band-passes, plus a wideband mode for full-range processing (with adjustable resonance)
- Individual gain, mix, feedback, solo, and mute controls for each band/effect
- Key tracking lets the modes follow MIDI notes, with a choice of 8 MIDI channels (OMNI by default)
- Band linking, switchable L/R or Mid/Side processing, and up to 8x oversampling
- True Peak limiting means you never have to worry about peaks — factory presets are also included
