1. What Is Sliding Cheesecake Records’ Drift Delay?
Drift Delay is a free stereo delay plugin featuring three delay models — Tape, BBD, and Digital — along with two resonant filters built into the feedback loop. It supports reverse playback and pitch shifting on the feedback path (±12 semitones), and comes packed with ducking via an external sidechain input, two LFOs, an envelope follower, and a Freeze function. It ships with 76 factory presets.
The Tape model darkens each repeat and adds low-end bloom, the BBD model gets darker as the delay time lengthens, and the Digital model keeps the delay line clean. Drive adds saturation inside the feedback loop, Age further rolls off the highs, and Diffuse softens the attack for a denser tail. The filters support LP/HP slopes of 6, 12, and 24 dB/oct, plus band-pass, notch, and all-pass modes, and you can switch between Series and Parallel to filter the left and right channels independently.

- 76 factory presets (with search, favorites, A/B comparison, and Mix/Trim lock)
- An Echo Map that visualizes delay time, repeat levels, and the feedback path
- Sample rates from 44.1 to 192kHz, 2x oversampling in HQ mode, and zero-sample latency
