Evertone Project is a Japan-born audio technology company that fuses analog hardware craftsmanship with digital technology. Built around a proprietary physics engine that applies the F=ma (force = mass × acceleration) law of physics to audio processing, it develops plugins that deliver natural, musical dynamics processing unlike conventional digital processing.
Evertone Compressor
Evertone Compressor is an innovative compressor that applies the F=ma (force = mass × acceleration) law of physics to audio processing. By treating the audio signal as mass and applying an acceleration component to the electrical-energy conversion, it achieves natural, musical compression that conventional digital processing cannot.
It overturns the traditional notion of a compressor as a mere volume-leveling tool, achieving natural, musical dynamics and envelope control governed by the laws of physics.
Physics Modes (4 types)
It features four physics modes with different acceleration characteristics.
- Standard: conventional, standard compression and recovery
- F=ma Light: delicate, gentle processing via low acceleration
- F=ma Medium: balanced, all-purpose setting via moderate acceleration
- F=ma Heavy: powerful, dynamic processing via high acceleration
Main Features
In addition to standard compressor parameters such as THRESHOLD, RATIO, ATTACK, RELEASE, HOLD, KNEE and RANGE, it includes the physics-engine-exclusive FORCE (strength of force) and DAMPING (decay characteristics). FORCE covers a wide range from 0.1 to 100.0, spanning everything from delicate, natural behavior to ultra-powerful slam. It also offers a BPM SYNC system synced to your DAW BPM, automatic parameter recommendations via ASSIST, note-level timing control via NOTE GRID, and a real-time waveform display.
Evertone Expander
Evertone Expander is an innovative upward expander that applies the F=ma law of physics to audio processing. By naturally restoring the transient acceleration lost during microphone recording, it fundamentally improves problems such as flat sound, peak-frequency buildup and masking, achieving three-dimensional transient separation.
Physics Modes (4 types)
Like Evertone Compressor, it features four physics modes. Choose from Standard, F=ma Light, F=ma Medium and F=ma Heavy depending on your needs.
Main Features
In addition to the standard parameters THRESHOLD, RATIO, ATTACK, RELEASE, HOLD, KNEE and RANGE, it offers physics-engine control via FORCE (0.1–20.0) and DAMPING (1–1000). Setting DAMPING to 1000 produces an instantaneous cutoff effect, enabling special dynamics effects that were previously impossible. It also includes BPM SYNC, automatic recommendations via ASSIST, NOTE GRID, TILT (integrated control of ATTACK, HOLD and RELEASE), and a real-time waveform display.
Metro
Metro is a utility plugin that uses BPM-based note-value calculation to derive the optimal parameters for expanders and compressors. It turns timing adjustments that tend to rely on intuition into clear numerical values, enabling musical and rational mixing and mastering.
Main Features
It features BPM-synced note-value calculation, a pendulum-style visual meter, automatic parameter recommendations via ASSIST, three modes (EXPANDER / COMPRESSOR / GLUE COMPRESSOR), one-click clipboard copy, speed adjustment (×0.5 / ×1 / ×2), and a CLASSIC / LUXURY UI toggle. Combined with Evertone Compressor or Evertone Expander, it makes ideal BPM-based envelope design smooth and easy.
Magicknob
Magicknob condenses the physics engine of Evertone Expander into a simple one-knob plugin. From 0–50% of the knob (blue arc light) it applies transient energy enhancement, while from 50–100% (green arc light) it applies powerful energy enhancement across the entire signal. It lets you control complex processing intuitively with a single knob, making it ideal for quick sound design.
Magicknob Red
Magicknob Red condenses the physics engine of Evertone Compressor into a one-knob compressor version. From 0–50% of the knob (red arc light) it applies transient rebound energy processing, while from 50–100% (light orange arc light) it applies powerful compression across the entire signal. Like Magicknob, its single-knob design is intuitive and excels at quick sound design.
